Biography

Mike McGill is the President of WaterPIO, a national public communications firm he founded in 2016 to help water utilities of all sizes improve their customer, media, and crisis communications. WaterPIO now serves utilities, engineering firms, and state primacy agencies in over 20 states. He also launched LeadCopperRule.com and PFASComms.com to help utilities navigate communication challenges under the EPA’s LCR and new PFAS MCLs.

Before starting WaterPIO, Mike directed public information and customer service operations for major water utilities in Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina. He began his career in news as a writer and producer for National Journal’s Hotline, CNN, and the CBS affiliate in Washington, DC.
